Hey lovelies! I wanted to share this adorable watermelon wreath that I made with Krafty Kathy. Not only am I the luckiest girl in the world to share my life with an amazing man, but his mom is like a baller status crafter. I’m so blessed to have her as my crafty mentor.

Materials
Wire Wreath Frame – you can get these at any craft store, girl I even found them at the Dollar Tree 😊
Pipe Cleaners– this is to hold everything to the wire frame. You can also purchase wire frames with pipe cleaners already attached, usually around the holidays. It was save you this step.
Deco Mesh -this is what gives it all that volume and makes up the base. Pick whatever colors you want! I would recommend the half size role. I am confused why it’s the same price as the full sized role, but it will cut down on your cutting and ultimately the fraying of the wreath altogether.
Wired ribbon– go crazy, get whichever colors or patters you want
Embellishments– again, go crazy, whatever floats your boat, do your thing. You can make this as loud and vibrant at you want. Hey, you can even add battery powered lights to your wreath. You go Glen Coco!
Make it
I started from the outside rings and attached the pipe cleaners by twisting the wire frame multiple times. It just seemed tighter than trying to twist the pipe cleaners. Then I scrunched up the mesh in the middle and twisted it into the pipe cleaners. Make sure you have the same number of mesh strips as you do pipe cleaners. I did some more scrunching, bunching and fluffing adding multiple plots until I was satisfied with my base. Then I cut my ribbon for each pipe cleaner. On the outside I used two types of ribbon to alternate. I used ten of each and put both types in each pipe cleaner. Krafty Kathy also cut the ends of the ribbon into what look like little snake tongues but it makes them look finished and polished. On the inside rings I used red and white mesh. And instead of hiding the pipe cleaners I left them out front on rolled them into, what I like to think look like, watermelon seeds. I just made up that bow with the remaining flowers I had that my dog Corona hadn’t eaten and hot glued it to a pipe cleaner. This way I could move it around the wreath to get the perfect positioning. Also, I hot glued the red ribbon down to the mesh since it was note wired and would stay standing up instead of drooping. I also attached the watermelon welcome sign to the bottom with a pipe cleaner so I can remove it if I want to.
I attached an extra pipe cleaner to the back to make a loop for hanging and there you have it!
After you get it fluffed and full how you like it, just leave it be. It’s perfect just the way it is. Back away. You’re done. No really, it’s perfect.

It turned out so well that I ended up making even more butterflies to adorn my car. Take a look at this video of them after sticking them on the windows. It was overcast that day, but in the sun this vinyl is holographic and shows off a rainbow of colors.
